Curaçao is ready to welcome back tourists from selected countries. And so are we at Scuba Lodge! We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests to our hotel again.

The corona virus brings many questions and uncertainty. We have listed the most common questions for you. Is your question not listed? Please contact us at info@scubalodge.com and we will answer you as soon as possible.

CAN I BOOK A ROOM OR APARTMENT AGAIN?
Yes, you can. Reservations can be made through our website, by email (info@scubalodge.com) and per phone at (+5999) 465-2575. When you book directly with us instead of boooking through a booking site, you help us recover faster. When you make your reservations directly with our hotel, we do not have to pay commissions to external parties. This means that we can give our employees more hours, and possibly employ more people.

Plus, it also has benefits for you when you book directly with us:

  • You always receive the best available price.
  • If you need to change your travel plans, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival.
  • You will receive a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival.
  • You will receive a 10% discount on diving courses and dive packages at Scuba Lodge Dive Center Pietermaai.
  • You will receive a 15% discount on our breakfast platter ($ 15 per person per day instead of $ 18).
  • On the day of arrival you will receive a free pizza (per room or apartment) at our city beach Dive City.

CAN I TRAVEL TO CURACAO FROM MY COUNTRY?
In connection to opening the borders to Western European countries, the Government of Curaçao has released the updated approved list of countries that are allowed entry into Curaçao as of July 16, 2020. The list of approved countries are divided into medium risk countries and low risk countries.

UPDATE: After months of anticipation, Curaçao has announced border re-openings to residents of Canada, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Starting the first week of November, residents of Canada and the three aforementioned states will be the first Americans granted access to the Curaçao since travel restrictions were imposed earlier this year.

Additional measures will be imposed for these countries and territories in order to be able to continue to guarantee the security and well-being of our country.

ARE THERE ANY CONDITIONS TO ENTERING CURACAO?
Yes. Before entering Curaçao, the traveler must comply with certain conditions such as:

  • PCR Test
    • They must have done a PCR test max. 72 hours prior to their flight.
    • The PCR test result must be negative in order to travel.
    • The traveler must have the PCR test results printed when traveling.
    • The airline will control the test results prior to boarding.
  • PLC Form
    • They must fill in a 'Passenger Location Card' (PLC) digitally before traveling.
    • The traveler must have a copy of the PLC printed when traveling.
    • The traveler must not have traveled to a high-risk country, and if they have, they must go into mandatory quarantine.
    • The traveler must fill in and sign the form to the best of their ability and truthfully.
  • Other Conditions
    • The traveler must agree with all the stipulated conditions of the Government of Curaçao in order to travel to and enter Curaçao.
    • The traveler must agree that all medical costs, quarantine costs and/or isolation will be at their own costs.

CAN WE EAT AT YOUR RESTAURANT AGAIN?
Yes. In June, after a major renovation, our restaurant reopened its doors under the name 'De Heeren @ sea'. Our restaurant has a new menu and a new look-and-feel but the same cozy team and the same beautiful sea view! Our restaurant is open 7 days per week from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. CAN WE DIVE WITH SCUBA LODGE DIVE CENTER PIETERMAAI AGAIN?
Yes, our diving school is open again for all your scuba diving and snorkeling needs. For more information or to make a reservation, please contact Daan, Manager of Scuba Lodge Dive Center, directly at diving@scubalodge.com.

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES HAVE YOU TAKEN?
All of our employees have received instructions on how to act under COVID-19. Our rooms and apartments are professionally cleaned every day. Also, the door handles, banisters, and public areas in our hotel are cleaned several times a day. This allows you to enjoy your stay with us feeling carefree and relaxed!

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY EXISTING RESERVATION?
That is possible, we have adjusted our conditions so that it is easy to change or cancel a reservation free of charge. Guests who have made a reservation with us (via our website, email, or by telephone) but want to change it, are best to contact us by email: info@scubalodge.com. We will happily work on a suitable solution together.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY EXISTING RESERVATION MADE THROUGH AN ONLINE BOOKING SITE?
If you made your reservation at Scuba Lodge through an online booking site (including Booking.com or Expedia), a travel agent or other party, please contact your booking agent for further assistance.
